Healthy Living: Daily Reminder To Self, it’s hard but always worth it!


I’ve got back on the health train (for now).

It’s hard! But it’s definitely worth it, the ease and convenience of bad foods is so tempting in today’s stressful working world, my Grampa was a chemical engineer and worked in food safety in South Africa, he long echoed what I tried to ignore, fast food is terrible, most food looking safe and innocuous, is actually really bad, you need to read labels, not only the high hidden fat, sodium and carbs but the preservatives, he said those preservatives wreak havoc on your cells, be careful.

He had a quadruple bypass in his 50s and lived into his 90s, he cleaned up his diet and with regular exercise I can with certainty say this prolonged his life tremendously.

But it’s not just about the here and now; it’s a long-term investment. Healthy eating can lead to fewer sick leaves, more productivity, and less spent on medical bills. It’s like planting a garden of wellness, and the dividends are a healthier, more successful work and business life.
